Take a walk from Callala Bay to Red Rock Reserve and enjoy the spectacular views. A little further along you will find Itchy Beach, Long Beach and Honeymoon Bay - Some of the prettiest and unspoilt accessible beaches in Australia. Here you can look through the crystal clear waters and watch the marine life and sea grass on the bottom of Jervis Bay.
Callala Bay is sheltered and offers a safe haven for around the 60 to 70 yachts permanently moored alongside the boat ramp. This provides access to Jervis Bay for fishing (permit required), sailing and some of the best scuba diving in the world.
The recently upgraded Callala Bay boat ramp gives access to Jervis Bay for fishing, sailing and scuba diving. Sailing of all types is becoming increasingly popular with the Jervis Bay Cruising Yacht Club being based at Callala Bay. The Callala Bay boat ramp is from Watt Street into Callala Bay.
The Callala Bay Triathlon, held annually, is becoming a feature on that sports national circuit.
Callala Bay is serviced by a modern shopping centre including IGA supermarket, bakery, bottle shop, café, boutique, chemist, butcher, hardware, takeaways, newsagency & post office.
The townships of Callala Bay, Callala Beach and Myola are located on the northern side of beautiful Jervis Bay and are accessed from the Forrest Road. Nowra the major retail and commercial centre is a 15 minute drive.
There is a local market on every weekend in the area.
The historical townships of Berry and Kangaroo Valley are 45 mins drive with attractions such as antiques, boutique shopping, coffee shops, galleries, markets, restaurants and wineries etc. Easy drive to many other interesting venues such as the Air Museum in HMAS Albatross, west of Nowra or Beecroft Peninsula (15mins) for a days outing.
